OUR STORY
Christian Enrichment Learning Center (CELC) is the weekday educational ministry of New Georgia Baptist Church. We began in 2000 with 26 students and four classes. Today, we have close to 100 students in our program with 12 classes. God has blessed this program enabling us to minister to families in our community providing sound Biblical lessons along with the traditional ABC’s and 123’s. Our low student/teacher ratio ensures each student the opportunity for one-on-one interaction with their teacher.

Our Classes
18 - 24 Months
Students in this class come two days a week, from 9 to 12, to either our Monday/Wednesday session or our Tuesday/Thursday session. In addition to learning to play with other children and interact with a non-family adult, our toddlers learn shapes and colors, listen to Bible stories, sing songs and paint pictures.

2 Year Olds
Students in this age group also come either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 9 to 12. Our 2's use the A Beka Nursery curriculum which teaches shapes, colors, and numbers. The children learn socialization skills as well as Bible lessons and Bible thoughts. Each day offers a variety of activities, both learning and playing. Our 2's participate in computer and music classes.
3 Year Olds
Our 3s come three days a week: each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9-12. In addition to reinforcing shapes and colors, the A Beka 3 year curriculum teaches more numbers and introduces the alphabet. A combination of table work and active center play gives the children plenty of activity. These students begin to work on fine motor skills such as holding writing utensils correctly and using scissors. They learn Bible lessons and Bible verses. In addition to our music and computer classes, 3's attend Chapel once a week.
4 Year Olds
Students in our 4 year old pre-kindergarten class come Monday through Thursday from 9-12. The A Beka curriculum for this age focuses on the alphabet (recognition, sounds, and formation), numbers and readiness skills needed for kindergarten. The 4's learn two Bible lessons each week and one Bible verse. The children go to music, computer and Chapel each week. In addition to ABCs and 123s, the 4's learn early math skills (sorting, counting and patterns) and science skills (classifying and experiments). They continue to build their fine motor skills through writing, coloring and cutting as well as their gross motor skills through running and playing.
